First ever M'lorean Konkani Tiatr Presented By Team Mangalorean Kuwait

The first ever Mangalorean Konkani Tiatr in the history of Kuwait - "Kuwait Soddun Vetana…" along with mesmerizing music, songs, jokes & dances, was presented to the housefull audience by Konkan Kala Samithi on Friday 25th September at American International School auditorium at 4:45 pm.
The Tiatr, originally written, directed and recently presented with most famous Goan dramatists in Kuwait by Rosery Ferns, had been very well appreciated. This Tiatr has been translated into Mangalorean Konkani and directed by Lancy Rodrigues, Bondel. The cast of the Tiatr included, Cynthia Pinto, Gratian D’Souza, Valerian D’Souza, Jaison Lasrado, Joyline Gaonsalves, Jovita Fernandes, Anil Menezes, Renny Menezes, Anil Fernandes, Wilfred Lobo, Valerian Sanctis, Bernard Fernandes, Anand D’Souza, Joyston D’Souza, Joe D’Souza, Ozwald D’Souza, Steven Misquith, Lancy Rodrigues and Fr. Melwyn DÇunha.

Renowned singers Mike Simon from Mangalore and Norbert Pereira from Qatar entertained the Konkani music lovers of Kuwait with mesmerizing hit songs. They were joined by local singing talents Vinay Lewis of Gulf Voice of Mangalore fame, Joyline Gonsalves, Jovita Fernandes, and Gladys Lorena. Linton Pereira, son of Mike Simon dazzled with Guitar. Salvador Rebello and Suneeth Noronha provided scintillating music.
Brief official program was held soon after the interval. Rev. Fr. Melvin DÇunha presided over the function. Main sponsor of the event R.C. Suresh of Nelinum Builders, Writer of original play Rosery Ferns and KCWA President Rudy D’Souza, chief organizer Anand D’Souza were also present on the dias. The visiting artists were felicitated on this occasion.
Rib tickling jokes were presented by comedy king of Kuwait Stephen Machado along with Rudy D’Souza, Lucy Aranha, Sunny Menezes, Kiran Lobo, Agnel Saldanha, Ibrahim, Master Ansel Gonsalves and Master Aaron Gonsalves. Very well entertaining jokes were written & directed by Lancy Rodrigues, Bondel. Dazzling foot tapping dances were presented for some songs by well known dance troupe Jovas XLNC choreographed by Sunil & Jyothi Noronha. Vineetha Pinto compered the whole event. Lancy Rodrigues proposed vote of thanks. The program was concluded at 10:30 pm.

The flashback scenes of the Tiatr were recorded & presented by Alban D’Souza of Blue Ray Video and Michael Monis of Ricks Entertainment. Anand D’Souza & his crew of “Illuminations” provided the perfect match sound & lights. The musical score for the Tiatr was presented by Kiran Gonsalves and supported by Joe D’Souza. Multi-media presentation was done by Steven Misquith.
