Tiatr is medium for development of Konkani: Naik

Goa Home Minister Ravi Naik today said events such as 'Tiatr Utsav' were an effective medium for development of Konkani, the official language of the state.
Buzz up!Speaking after inaugurating 'Tiatr Utsav', organised by Sheynoy Goenbab Seva Kendra at Savordem in South Goa, Mr Naik said tiatrists had substantially contributed to preservation and enrichment of Konkani.
He also favoured holding the Tiatr Utsav regularly to keep the tradition alive.
The initiative of the organizers would help the tiatrists and other artistes to come together and exchange their views and ideas, he added.
