To mark this occasion, Tiatr Academy Goa has planned a meaningful programme on that day. A book “When the curtains rise…the story of Goa’s Tiatr” written by Dr. Rafael Fernandes will be released at a function to be held at 10:00 am at the Conference Hall of Tiatr Academy Goa, Campal Trade Centre, Panjim. Shri. Prasad Lolayekar, Director of Art & Culture will be the Chief Guest while John Claro Fernandes, a veteran tiatr artiste will be the Guest of Honour. On this occasion a “Directory of Tiatr Artistes” will also be released.

Dr. Rafael Fernandes who has completed his thesis on the subject will deliver a talk on ‘History of Goan Tiatr’ on the occasion which will be followed by an interactive session in which artistes attending the function will participate.

Shri. Tomazinho Cardozo, President of TAG has requested all the tiatr artistes to attend “Tiatr Day” celebration in large numbers. Those interested in participating may confirm their participation through phone nos. 2230738/2230739 so that the required arrangement for lunch to the participants is made by TAG.
