Tiatr Festival in Mapusa from 10/11/2009

A festival of Award winning tiatrs organized by Tiatr Academy Goa (TAG) begins today (10 / 11 / 09 ) at at 7.00 p . m at the Hanuman Theatre, Mapusa. In all 4 award winning tiatrs in the recently concluded 35th Tiatr Competition organized by Kala Akademy, Goa will be staged. As per the schedule “Asro Zai” written by Agnelo de Borim will be staged on 10th November, “Kallokhi Uzvadd” written by Derick D’Mello on 11th November, “Rinn” written by Peter Vaz on 12th instant and “Eksiddent” by Tomazinho Cardozo on 13th November.

A nominal entrance fee (ticket) of Rs. 30 per person has been fixed. As there is no reservation the sitting will be provided on ‘first cum first serve basis’. A limited number of Seasonal Passes are made which will cost Rs. 100/- for all four shows.

The Tiatr Festival of Award Winning Tiatrs is organized for the purpose of giving opportunity to the tiatr lovers from other parts of Goa to witness prize winning tiatrs of Kala Akademy’s yearly Tiatr competition. This festival will be held in different places every year so that the people of Goa may be able to taste the richness of tiatr staged in the yearly Tiatr Festivals by Kala Akademy.

Tiatr lovers from Bardez and surrounding areas are requested to take note of the festival and attend in large number so that they get the first hand information of the tiatrs staged by amateur artistes in the yearly Tiatr Competitions.
