‘Teag’
The Paingin Kala Krida Sanskruti Mandal presented ‘Teag’, a ‘tiatr’ written by R B S Komarpant and directed by Anthony Fernandes.
The love of one’s land and its subsequent misuse by the younger generation, and the sacrifices parents make, form the theme of the ‘tiatr’.
The cast includes Liberata Fernandes, Jolibia Fernandes, Albino Vaz, Antonette D’Costa, Anthony Fernandes and Jose Fernandes in the main roles while Agnelo Furtado and Ferson D’Costa provide the humour.
The sets are designed by Denzil D’Costa with light effects from Anthony P Fernandes and background music by Agnelo Cardozo. Valency D’Souza, Milagres Fernandes, Joliber Fernandes, Cajetan de Curtorim, William de Curtorim and Rabonte accompany Anthony Fernandes. Rocky Dias and Michael de Siolim render two hard hitting solos about the actors of today and their claim for titles.
